Just wondering if anyone would be up for playing some CS:GO (Counter Strike Global Offensive) if you have it, and maybe getting a little fun team together to do some random competitive matches.

really all i play on CSGO is competitive, maybe taking it further if possible. just let me know if you are interested.

I heard counter strike is super friendly to the competitive players with good balance and such. I'll look at it more and see if it's something worth my attention. ;P

anyways: On topic. I'm looking at these maps, and graphics, and I was impressed, then found out it's not f2p. So sorry :(

Good luck and have fun, this looks like an awesome game

Sure, I'm down :) I'm ranked Gold Nova I atm. Slink plays too, I'm sure he'd be willing to join in.

And CS:GO costs like £12 on Steam. It's definitely worth it considering the quality of the game.

So how is this different to Source ?

you get de-ranked when your team suck ass and you end up not playing as well and you would have liked to. and habbe theres differences i dont know them all, but for one you dont have fucked hitboxes like source and the bullet spread is different.

theres probably others but i dont really bother looking into them, ive played both and 1.6 so i am just used to all of them.

Having played GO for a while now, I honestly prefer it to Source. The competitive mode is the biggest advantage, I think. You choose what maps you want to play, then you get put in a 5v5 team where you play first-to-16-rounds. Focus is on teamwork, tactics, communication, etc.

The weapons are different and take a while to get used to, but they feel more balanced. It's no longer only M4, AK and AWP. A shotgun, for example, is actually a solid investment if you use it right. That sort of thing didn't really exist in CSS.

It's definitely worth checking out if you played the previous CS games. Of course there's an adjustment period, but I think CS:GO is an improvement and it's worth getting used to.

yeah agree with status, i use the mag7 or sawn off when im anti-ecoing because they are the most powerful shottys and people dont expect it that much.

and i find the best way to get used to the weapons is playing deathmatch, for instant spawns and weapon practising. getting your aim down with the weaps and learning to burst fire for the headshots and just being aware of where to aim for the quick and easy kills.

P.S: Status i think i sent a friend request on xfire, whats your steam as well so i can add it.

If there are any CS:GO players reading this who want to try practicing on DM, here's the method I used. Bots may be stupid but put them on expert and they can definitely aim. It's an efficient way to train your rifle control, I think.
