Ok. Well. The past couple Of Days I've been desperatly trying to Oc My laptop. It's already 3-4 years old, and within a year it won't be able to keep up with Newer games.

It's An Acer Aspire. The kind that Completly PMS When you open them up and screw with anything. I've Heard Horror stories about people trying to Mod Theirs, And Basically just getting shut out. Won't turn on. Can't reset Cmos. Warranty's Done because they opened it up. In otherwords, They're screwed.

I want to get a better fps On newer games Like cod4 while I can. I've tried programs Like soft fsb, and clockgen. The problem is that, I can't find somthing that works with my chipset. Clockgen reset itself everytime I tried to change something as well. The Chipset Is, Or So Cpu-Id says: Intel 965. Can Anybody Help Me Oc This Thing? =/

No matter how much you try to overclock that laptop you will never get decent fps in cod4 or newer games...

Overclocking a laptop is kinda pointless, and the overheating risk is too high, as you can't add fans, liquid cool, etc.

My suggestion would be buy a better computer. If you don't have the money then get a job.

Man, you could get a pretty decent computer for under $1000, i got mine for just under 700 and i run cod 4 with 100 + fps on full AA AF, and highest gfx.

I Havn't the first clue on How do do anything on the inside of my computer besides Changing a graphics card. I'd need a lot of help to Build my own. Unless you mean, Build it online Or somthing like that, Then have it mailed..

No I ment ordering the parts separate and building it yourself... it really doesn't take much skill other than using a screw driver and connecting wires. If you build your own machine you can have a computer at least twice as fast than something that you would pay the same price for pre-built.

And there are plenty of online guides to help you: http://tinyurl.com/lyufcm
