If you're trying to get trophies then balloons is hands down the BEST way to go. The ONLY thing you have to make sure of is that you can kill the air defense towers first. If you cannot do this, then do not attack. The only other thing that may give you problems are the wizard towers but you just have to attack right to get past them.
Personally: I used 6 Giants, 24 balloons, 10 goblins, and a healing spell.
1. Drop the giants is the right spots to distract towers.
2. If there is only 1 air defense then drop ALL balloons on the air defense, if there are 2 air defenses then split your balloons in half.
*At this point the ideal raid will have your giants taking all of the damage while your balloons kill all of the towers, IF the wizard tower starts attacking your balloons then immediately drop a healing spell directly on top of the wizard tower.
*Sometimes I have 2 use 2 healing spells if the wizard towers are really strong - 1 healing spell for each wizard tower.
3. Drop all goblins to collect all of the gold/elixir.
