Don't worry about that, they just put up the "Google universal terms and conditions" without reading it through. Section 11 has now been changed and they won't take any information from you and give it to someone else. =D

Google fixed it. http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20 ... ge-it.html

I guess Chrome is bit like Safari used to be -- faster, but big whoop; it sucks in everything else. [dunno]

Chrome doesn't suck at everything else. The UI is better than all other broswers and it's smooth and fast.

I must admit there are a few bugs but this is only a beta and version 0.2. If you can't see potential in this browser you are blind.

One annoying thing is that you can view the passwords you've saved -- and everyone else can view them too. Is it just me, or is this like a beefed-up ff? The password features are identical, at least.

And I do not agree that the UI is better than Opera's. Firstly, Opera will let you save a link anywhere: top, left, right, bottom, speed dial, even a menu that pops up under the address bar when you click it. It also has a sidebar that hides neatly away when you press F4. The ONE thing that makes Chrome's UI sliightly better is that there's no File, Edit, View etc. thing at the top -- but you can remove this in Opera as well.

Furthermore, I'd like to complain a bit about the lack of an RSS Feed manager, no notes, no skins, that you have to type .com for common websites... yeah, I'll think of some more stuff to whine about.

Yeah, and that's the biggest reason I like Google -- it's not a massive impersonal corporate giant money-eating machine like Microsoft, they value a bit of fun and humanity in there as well. Especially if you've seen the Google Offices, holy shit ...

Oh and btw, I'm typing this in Chrome ... "Google" is underlined red xD

How does it rate then, if you're being unbiased about it?

Same.

For a Beta, it's pretty damn good, but not good enough for me to want to use.
