Sup guys,

Well as you noticed I'm back on tracks, that means I am going to start working on the website design again, surely Mr. N and I can handle ourselves easily, but I dont want you guys to get lost during our work; That's why I will post some previews or ideas I have here. All kind of feedback is apreciated and I gently ask you to keep the spam out of here. This is something I don't have to do , it is an offer from my side so you guys stay informed and can somehow participate at designing the website.

ALSO: PLEASE REMIMND WE HAVE A SUGGESTION AREA, IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS POST THEM PLEASE.

Glad to see things are back on track again :)

Personally, I think the REDCELL logo at the top
Image
can/should be improved. It's just too plain and easy.

We already have a very nice logo. I wonder if we can integrate this somehow, perhaps as a little icon the same size as the lettering. It could come before the "REDCELL", or it could separate "RED" and "CELL". I tried making a mock-up of what it might look like, but the RedCell logo is impossible to find in a proper, unadulterated form: the one in the forums is cut off and the only other one I can find has "RedCell" written over it, and is too light. I wasn't able to do what I wanted with it but at least it's something that can be worked on.

Hopefully Nokill can provide us with some proper images so we have something to go by .. cough

Anyway, I wouldn't mind firing up the ol' Photoshop every now and then and getting some practice in, so if you need any help, I'd be happy to.

Well thanks for your ideas status, mostly things are not always that easy to do. As Nokill is on himself when it comes to replacing and coding (which is a more than awkward job to do).
I will try to create some works with your ideas included, I will make sure to keep you guys in touch :)

Code:
<img src="new_redcell_logo.png" alt="RedCell Logo" align="left" id="logo" />

There, I just saved Nokill 2 hours of coding time.

I'll invoice you later Mr N.

well and now do that with each small , shitty graphic out there. It's the amount of images that makes this job awkward not the coding itself.

My current state:

I am striving towards replacing the odd dark grey background at the bottom side by an other larger image, I'm still trying to figure out how Mr.N and I could inclue that within the coding and the site.

How about one big banner that spans the full width of the screen, rather than sacrificing half the screen to an update? Updates come beneath anyway. Would be much more impressive and striking with one big, massive fuck-off image along the top.

We just had in one business-workshop the definition of colours in work.(was needless but yeah [dunno] )

They said, dark is a strict colour, it is not good for websites and as the colour in a company-logo it appears with a "conservate" aura. They said, white is the best colour for representing something, its neutral and appears modern.

Maybe we could change the Backround colour of the homepage into white. I think it would look good with this thingy here in white:

Also we should put the RedCell-logo we have in the upper-leftcorner on our website in to the homepage aswell.

Just a little Input of me, what do you guys think about it?

I totally agree, but that's why Mr. N and I use it that much, I am doing website for a couple of years now and well, darks uis perfectly to the self-image RedCell has of itself.
I am sure, they got their point, as all f my former ESL sponsors and Clans had a white dominated hmepage, but still I think dark suits most to RedCell, just my honest opinion.

I totally agree here! Mr.N seems to be quite busy, he is currently gathering the logos and artworks I need, so I can integrate them aswell.

Thanks for your input mate, I will keep your idea about white as major colour in my head.

Post subject:  Re: Website: Design

Move everything that's level with the RedCell logo down to your little home uncategorized menu thingy, will look way better.

Also don't be suck in 960px-o-vision. Make the page full width.

The Font in the sidebar sucks.

And to be honest, I prefer the old design =/

Ahh u like my xfire profile pic ay ;D

I think each slide should have a pair or titties on it. Different ones by ethnic backround so we show new comers that we are not racist. Variation of size would be savy too. :smoke:
