I just meant that there are some programs that won't work on a 64-bit operating system. I've encountered that problem a few times with my copy of 64-bit Vista.

Like Cod4.... My Cod4 doesn't even run with windows 7, much less all the punkbuster errors and stuff I would have even if I could start the game to begin with....

Windows 7 works perfectly fine for me.

I recently bought it on Steam and though at first I had Punkbuster issues, those were solved by disabling the Steam in-game client and manually installing and updating Punkbuster. (Each one seemed to fix the game for a day, but once I did them both one after the other, I haven't had a problem.)

I was looking online and some people have the cod4exe error like me because there is no speaker/headset detected. I don't know why that is even a cause for an exe. error. If that is the case then my problem is that my moniter is a flat-screen with the speakers intergated into it. In the back of my computer the moniter takes up both the moniter port and the audio device port. I tried disconnecting the audio one and plugging my speakers in, but that makes my moniter not work at all. So I officially give up.
