Epic Games purchase domain names for GameSpy master servers.

Epic Games, the creators and developers of the Unreal Engine, the game engine that powers Republic Commando have purchased the IP addresses to the GameSpy master servers. IGN Entertainment who own GameSpy technologies sold the IP addresses and domain names to Epic in a deal made over the last few days.

What this means is that new master servers will be hosted by Epic Games for all multiplayer games that use the Unreal engine, including the Unreal Tournament series, Battlefield 2, Star Wars Republic Commando and Battlefront 2 etc. It works because repcom is told to look at the gamespy domain to find the master server and because there will be a master server which these domains point to, it will stay alive.

So, RepCom isn't going to die after all! Yay

I still got it in my chatprotokoll (...) where Penguin told me that he has a program to crash servers without join them, like ddos atk and where he asked me for the TX ip's but I can't open it because I deleted and blocked gayguin. Nvm. Last sentence about that.

I have one question, no wait, two questions.

1. Why would Penguin ask Admin for the TX IP? Pretty sure he already knwos it and/or would know a way to get it.
