question: whats the difference between http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136337 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284 and I've decided on getting a Quad processor, any thoughts on what model? (they can range from $150-250 so j/w if L2 cache really matters, i mean I read the Tom's Hardware article on it and it seemed iffy on whether it actually is worth the extra money, but the increase from 2.33 to 2.66 GHz is obvious) |

No idea what the first hard drive is, it's not even on WD's product list. Get this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822136284 For processors, you have to decide between i7 and core 2 quad. Or whatever AMD has.... For core 2, DDR2 memory will do. For i7, you need DDR3, which is a bit more expensive. If you don't want to overclock a lot, you won't need to spend much on memory. Also, I wouldn't use tiger. Newegg has better customer support and return policy and such. |

difference between them is, the one is boxed, the other is tray, that means, the more expensive one (boxed) has all screws and what ever you need to build in a HDD |

the boxed one has a different model number.... and it says GP. Green Power I think... some energy saving garbage. |

Don't get that motherboard... look where the main power connector is. The wires will be in the way of everything. try this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128358 or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128372 I'd go with a caviar black instead of green, unless you really care about noise. It's probably not much of a difference anyway. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822136284 More thoughts after I sleep. |
