is there a place that I can look to buy a new motherboard for a dell latitude?

get a new laptop thats a lot cheaper!

lets say i had a dieing urge to get a new motherboard regardless of price...where would i get one?

usually no where...you have to contact the support of the laptop company (acer,apple, PB, asus etc.) if the laptop is under 2years old (usual rule, maybe not in america) they will build in a new mainboard in your laptop, if not, you can pay, and VERY MUCH!

it will have to be a custom made laptop to match your old laptop then they will have to tear out the motherboard and replace it with your laptop. all in all this would cost you more then a few thousand

to avoid common problems with motherboards in laptops: buy a good laptop ! sony vaio ftw

HP and Toshiba are also good

ye one of ma mates got a HP .... u can like smash it on a wall and its still working. but better not try it.

Im gonna do that with my friends hp now and see if it still works
