Redcell 2009 Award Categories ?

I think it was agreed upon last year that the older members of redcell would decide nominees, and all the members would vote from there, because we had an influx of new members voting just for other new members who had just joined 2 months ago.

I propose a minimum time restriction on receiving an award, such as having to have been a redcell member for the entire year before being able to receive an award for that year

see, this is what i call an idea.

I'll add this to the list.

But maybe a whole year is quite mutch ? aren't 6 month enough ? or not ?

see, this is why i think we need to discuss this in public so everyone can atleast throw his/her 5 cents in. The none so good or idiotic ideas wont be added anyway.

I have to agree with this.

This might be stating the same, but I'll say it anyway. If everyone gets to nominate then there might very well be too many people to choose from. The range of nominees should be limited. It's not like the older members are going to choose someone that wasn't going to be nominated.They know what works and what doesn't work for this clan, therefore they are able to choose who deserves these prestigious awards.

That being said, it is possible to have a newcomer deserve an award(Say what Graphit suggested, in a span of 6 months). However, having a one year anniversary as the time restriction does seem pretty fair. Then again, if the older members are going to choose the nominees then the year requirement wouldn't really be necessary, [oh]

The time restriction would be up to them.

Omg I made such a big shit about how screwed up the voting was last time. I think Kimbo hit it on the button. But maybe we could be a bit forgivable on time being in redcell to be a nominee. More than 6 months at least close to the year mark should be fine. Dont feel like typing too much about this as I was let down by last years. But I do think its a great idea just this time lets follow through. :smoke:
