Yo guys I'm XtaZe from UG Clan.

I'm here to show my mod called RC: Order 66.

You probably already know me but anyways, I'm here to show what I've done.

So first a little presentation.

RC: Order 66 will a sequel to RC 1. You'll play as Viper, Sev's Replacer. But only for a few missions, then you'll replay as Boss. You'll even be able to play as other members of Delta Squad probably and even as Arc Troopers and Omega Squad.

I recently released a "working" demo. Why did I put working in quotes? Cause you can play but it still need a few fix to be 100% so I'll say it 95% working.
In this demo, you'll play as Viper during his training on Kamino.
There is an English Intro but then the subtitles in Game are in French since I'm French. But it's not needed to understand French to play the mod.

The mod will contain:

-A new SinglePlayer campaign
-New maps
-New skins
-New characters
-New sounds
-New weapons
-New animations
and some others features

Oh and a little tutorial to how to install the mod:


1)You make a copy of your vanilla RC (vanilla RC is RC without any mod installed)


2)You paste it wherever you want and rename it as you want (as soon as it's clear in your mind)


3)You extract the downloaded archive on your Desktop


4)You copy the contents of the Animations folder from the archive and paster it in the Animations folder from your copy of RC (sif it asks you to replace anything, just say yes (You don't care, it's just a copy of your original RC so your original RC is protected (as soon as you don't touch it) (Or you won't be able to play MP anymore)

5)You make the same thing for every folder (PS: Folder are in the GameData folder)

When it's done, open your game (GameData/System/SWRepublicCommando.exe (the icon with the Commando head) and start a new campaign. It will automatically start the custom maps :)

I have downloaded it already but I dont really like the idea of making an entire copy of my SWRC folder for a mod. Why dont you put it into a seperate folder within SWRC? like

That would make things a lot easier, I know that Ski actually put the mod into his default RepCom folder (his fault for not reading the description though), but that way is pretty annoying tbh.

Btw some text parts in the mod are in French, not really a fan of it. However I played the training part so far, and need to say Im not that impressed. The Geonosians dont even attack, and the droids and trandoshans dont do any damage. Its easy to walk through the levels and just melee everyone. Its like "Kill 30 droids, next door opens, kill 30 Geonosians, next door opens, kill 30 trandoshans, next door opens, kill 30 droids again, next door opens...). That was when I quit the game because I was tired of shoting the same opponents 10000 times. I think that mod could be better, its a pretty good idea to create a campaign with new weapons and all that stuff, but I dont really like this one.

My suggestions:
-Find another way to install the mod
-Create a better level layout and change the (default) difficulty
-Translate the text
-Dont make the training part so long, it gets boring after 3 minutes, everyone here plays the game and knows how to use the different grenades

Well I understand everything you said and will make a clear answer.

1) I would have found another way but mmh...since it replaces some of the original features and add new ones, I don't really how to make it (probably like they did for the WP)

2)Mod is in French cause I'm French ^^ But some other parts are in English (Intro Subtitles (I'm even working on a German version)) and it's not really needed to understand what to do.
Geonosians are really dumb, but don't understand why, so I'll probably replace them by other ennemies.
Of course they don't do damage; these are holograms !
And dunno if you just tested the first map or the other maps too. But I know the first one is not the best. It becomes better in the second map.
Difficulty is a bit hard to dose since they're totally dumb or totally strong. Have to work on it.

3)I'm working on the translation but since it's not really helpful text, it's not my priority.

4)I'll probably remove the first map which is quite boring as you said.

Anyways, thank you for your feedback ;) I'll try to make it better for next time.

Oh and actually it's only a demo so it's a bit bugged sometimes, but there is always a way to continue. And you're probably disappointed but demo doesn't show even 10% of the new content.

It only shows :

-2-3 new weapons.
-A few new skins
-No new ennemies
-5 new maps
-A few new accessories

What is not shown:

-The other weapons
-New ennemies
-The other skins
-The other accessories
-The other maps
-The storyline

Ill be looking forward to the final version, it could be interesting.

You can launch the mod the same way as WP. WarPack would also overwrite some original files and thats why they're placed in a new subfolder.

I think it should be in English only. That should be fine.

I tested some maps not only the first one. You could simply create a damage multiplier for the opponents, I think that's set in the ini file - another good reason to use an alternative subfolder and ini.
