Germany lost 1-0 to Serbia, eerily echoing the Spain-Switzerland match. Their first group match loss since 1986.

Germany was poor today, particularly Podolski, who should not have taken the penalty. Loew made bad decisions for his substitutions and timing and the referee was waving cards left, right, and centre. This livens up Group D, as any two of Germany, Ghana, and Serbia could potentially advance. The next matches will be tense.

Agreed on Green's mistake against the States.

Oh and I acknowledge Green's mistake as well(nice vid ajax [giggle2] ). However, imo that is not why England lost err...rather tied. They scored within the first four mins, practically giving them the whole game to score more goals. You can't count on one goal to win you the game, and people make mistakes, and those mistakes pay up when it counts most!
