In the city, the flow of information using modern technology is heavily controlled by the government. So in order to transmit sensitive information without the government being able to process it, people called runners are hired to take the information to it's destination around the city.


Normally the government would leave the runners alone and not interfere. But due to an unknown change they are now criminalizing these runners, and hunting them down.


The main character, Faith, is one of these runners. Since this new change in action against the runners, Faith's sister was kidnapped. Faith is now on a mission to track down the person or people who kidnapped her sister and possibly uncover the reasons behind hunting the runners.
