If you're gonna make a sig, and you think, hmm, I reckon this would be quite nice if I made a background and then slapped an image on top of it, don't bother. Make your sig as a whole unity; not as two separate pieces. It's good that you know how to make backgrounds like these; it is a nice effect, but learn how to instead use it to enhance the sig.
Don't listen to Kimbo; when you tried to blend it it looks like shit. Seriously. Read tuts.

This is actually decent. I like the lighting and colours quite a lot actually. I know exactly how you did it too; it's a great technique. I use it for abstract sigs :].
The thing that springs at me is depth ... it's just completely lacking. Try adding a little blur over everything apart from that woman in the front, then burn the edges of it a bit ... I reckon that would make it look quite a bit better.
Also, you need a light source. Once you've darkened it, that will be easier, but this would be so much better if you could tell where the light was coming from. Top right seems an obvious choice, but the right side is darker than the left, so you'd have to fix that. Your choice, really.
Btw, I'm really bloody happy you don't add any text to your sigs.
