What abput the sig I posted?

I'm revising for my exams, which start Tuesday.

Excuse my priorities.

As rhk said, use a bigger render so it won't look bad after you resize it. Sharpen parts of it that would be in the foreground to provide some depth. give it some lighting so it fits in with the rest of the sig better.

The sig needs some flow. Add some C4Ds, curvy lines, etc.

Add some effects so it doesn't look like a render just stuck on a background.

he's been absent for a while now

if anyone could give me any tips on this. im a newbie when it comes to making sigs.

Well, status probably isn't here so I'll give it a try.

1. The render is too small, so there is lots of empty space. It's also tilted a couple of degrees clockwise.

2. The render is off center, which doesn't seem to serve any purpose other than fit the text in. It looks strange.

3. The background is too similar to the render so it just blends in. Needs more contrast.

4. The lightsabers look awful, they're darker than the background and don't look like they're glowing.

5. Not much depth, it's all a bit blurry. Sharpen the head, maybe blur some other stuff a bit.

6. No lighting, but as it is, the whole sig is to bright for it to do any good.

7. I don't like the b+w, It could have been much better in color. The lightsabers would actually look like lightsabers, and you could have some contrast with the background.

8. Finally, the text. I assume it was requested like that, but the E, O, and tm look bad. If you really need the text on there, find a better place to put it. Perhaps a different font as well.

okay thanks. btw, im using gimp. to cheap to afford ps and rapidshare messes up my comp (which is messed up enough as it is)

I was bored, so I made a sig out of some calipers I have.

Man if ur so bored u can make me a new sig. Maybe about time for anew one.
