I currently have a public and private server that I can setup to support any game modes you want. I can also setup deity's other server whenever we need it.

I think that for this to work the voting system may need some changes in the numbers. For example, if we instead had ratings from 1-10, it would make the ratings more accurate (the larger the number range, the more places there are to rank people). I also think 13 points might be abit small, but there is no way to tell without trying it first.

I also don't know how we should go about picking teams once everyone is ranked. Are the captains just going to pick whoever they want like a draft, or would the players 'apply' to join a team and then the captain can pick people from that pool. I think both ways have their pros/cons, but its again hard to tell which would be better without trying it first.

I'm not sure if I can play in this Tournament yet. Unfortunately, I have a lot of school-work.

This isn't a tournament, it will be ongoing. I think we should discuss this more. I'd like to have scores reset monthly, or every couple weeks. So at the end of that period the leading team would win. There aren't any prizes in place; I'm not sure what would be appropriate. Feel free to say what you think we should do!

As far as the ranking goes, I feel like 5 is enough to have distinction between players without being too complicated. Initially Dever was saying 3 might be good and Deity was saying 4, so 5 seems appropriate to me. If we run into problems I'm completely fine with switching over to a ranking system that goes to 10; the math would be simple enough because I will be keeping track up to the hundredth place as far as decimals go with the ranking, but we will be rounding to the nearest digit when picking teams.

Oh okay. I thought that I was obligated to play under a certain schedule. If that's the case, then I may possibly find the time to jump on and play, depending on the day.

It will get boring with the same teams eventually, maybe we can mix up the whole pool and reset teams monthly or every two weeks?
As far as everything else goes it looks like you all have most everything set up, Im looking forward to seeing this get rolling.
Do you plan on having the teams play on modded maps and some of the old mappacks as well?

I'm fine with teams that dont switch up, I dont see a problem with playing with the same team as long as you get along. as for me sign me up for a sub, I've been busy lately and I usually cant get on TS late at night since my family is asleep, + I'm like a 2

As far as teams go, you're always able to trade players, so you won't be stuck with the same people if you don't want to be. I'm almost certain that there will be left over players looking for teams, hopefully this is more of a benefit than a problem, so that there can be subs whenever we need them.
I'd like this to have a similar feel as competitive css, cod 4, or halo, where the teams stay the same for the most part so that the players can learn to play with each other and communicate effectively. This should be encouraging to new players as well as old players, because it has the potential to bring new players into scrims and they'll be appropriately placed with this system to create balanced teams.

I appreciate the activity everyone, keep the ideas and opinions coming!

Overall... everyone just consider it like basketball with salary caps.

why not have it so that it is like sport in which subs can be made and players can be changed even though it is still the same team.
