I'd honestly love to just take a year off to build some money and do some independent study, but that's not too practical.

If worst comes to worst, I should be able to get into SUNY Buffalo.

other schools I'm applying to are Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University of Rochester, Case Western Reserve. Anyone familiar with these?

What kind of grade point average did you carry in HS?

You can always start in a community college with your first year basic classes and then tranfer to a bigger college.

What kind of independant study are you talking about because there is alot of grant money available now for different projects, especially "green" stuff.

i app'd rennsselaer and got in, even if you don't get accepted for the fall they'll probably accept you for the spring semester like they did for my friend.

It's expensive though

With those kind of numbers you shouldn't have too much trouble finding a college to accept you. I would get on with the apps immediatly though.

ye your SATs look alright, as long as they don't suck they don't factor in much to college admissions (unless they are amazingly perfect) or you are applying to MIT or Harvard or something

your class rank will definitely help, just write an essay that doesnt totally suck ass and you should be fine.

Aw no Cornell Ajax? :(

Well, it doesn't look bad one bit. Recommendations are always nice to have, and should be easy to get.
