ya as some of you know ( probably everyone ) i got a new pc . but now i am standing infront of a new decision: should i upgrade my vista to "home" or "professional" ? are there any big differences in both OS's ? or should i go by the cheapest ? ( and i will get a legal copy of windows so do not post any torrents/trackers/P2P/etc. ) And no, for the love of god, i will not stay with vista as it is really shitty and annoying. ( plus i only got 20 days left till it will be kinda removed because of my bro using the key already and vista is spamming me with key-activision popups ) |

Ive got home just installed it yesterday skipped the whole vista experience and upgraded from XP. So far i love it i don't see paying more for a few more things that you can just download anyway. |

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/window ... fault.aspx I'm currently using professional and I've never used xp mode or backed-up my stuff on a network, the only useful one i use is "Domain Join". But that's only because I go between my uni and home quite a lot with my desktop. I'd go with home, 64-bit. |

I just meant that there are some programs that won't work on a 64-bit operating system. I've encountered that problem a few times with my copy of 64-bit Vista. |

Screw the german system. The "SB" version of Professional costs as much as the normal "OEM" home-premium version here in germany. And then again there is no "SB" version of Home Premium in my store, because it would have a laughable price. |

My Cod4 doesn't even run with windows 7, much less all the punkbuster errors and stuff I would have even if I could start the game to begin with.... |

Like Cod4.... My Cod4 doesn't even run with windows 7, much less all the punkbuster errors and stuff I would have even if I could start the game to begin with.... 1) Old topic is old. 2) Worst constructed sentence ever. 3) Cod4 works fine-ish in windows 7. Patch the game 1.0 - 1.6 then 1.6 - 1.7. Then go to http://evenbalance.com/ and download the punkbuster updater. |
