Ironhide what server was the mod run on? Some hosts could be less willing to let you use faster speeds....

As I said before, it was not about the speed. You can download from the TX server with several MB/second without problems. The game did not allow more than a few kb. That's it.

US players don't get the best download speeds from TX FTP server... I can't lie about that. it was going to take me a half an hour to download a map pack that should've been done in 3 minutes. As I see it, either way it would be the same download speeds for many US players then.

Any possible way to force downloads during normal game play? I mean most people can play at least an hour on the same server should be enough to get a file or two through and if you have that up and running a week or two before actually adding new maps to the server perhaps it wont be an issue.

I talked to my server hosts. They said if it's necessary to develop and run the mod, they will give me an extra subdomain and download server for server to client map downloads.
