So I've been trying to start up a band for years it seems, but I haven't really been able to organize anything enough to actually make notable progress. Rather than waste the rest of my time in my hometown searching for talented dedicated musicians that I'll have to leave in a few months, I decided to start up a solo project.

Now a solo project (not just instrumental) unfortunately requires me to sing, which I am admittedly balls at, but I've been practicing a lot recently, if that helps at all.

Anyway, the name is If Not Higher. Here's a quick banner I made for it. If anyone wants to help me with making graphics, that would be highly appreciated.

Of course, I'm working on writing my own songs, but I'm also pretty bad at that currently. I decided to get thing started I'd make some easy cover songs to test out my camera. I've got to get a tripod, since right now it's just balancing on my bed and is mildly difficult to know what I'm recording, as you can see in the On the Brightside video. I'm also planning to get an external microphone for some better audio quality.


Just thought I'd let you folks know what I've been up to, and thought I might be able to find a bit of online support here. *awaits the bashing*

The guitar parts are so easy in a lot of the songs that I'm playing though; my part wouldn't really be at all impressive if I wasn't singing too, even though most people might not know that.

I know that's really sloppy and stuff, but I think it gives the basic concept I'm going for. As for colors, I was thinking a grey/blue theme might work, or possibly something similar to the first banner I made.

Something nice and neat, I suppose is key.
