Wouldn't it be better to go for a newer game, since it's less likely to loose players as quickly. I have never been fussed by COD, but I have TF2, and that is a very widely played game. We could also look at upcoming games that people are interested in. (like for me crysis)

If we had to move, Battlefront 2 would be a good bet. It still has a very active community as well as it having similar mechanics to repcom.

I thought BF2 is also dying..

Maybe CS:GO is a good alternative, its cheap avaible in Steam.

Battlefront 2 is still active in 1.0 and 1.1 and it`s in th ESL with much Events. Some days ago there were a sniper event to find the best sniper player in the community :)

I have LoL and i'm lvl18, i'm not good at all but i'm not bad. I never really play on Player versus Player(me so scared).

Battlefront II is a good alternative, but there are also to less player aswell. Just look at the statistics of Xfire:
