I think Russia is a great and very respectable country. They stood up to us for so long and displayed such power against us. They do not like NATO, and its no surprise that this comes up after them invading Georgia. Russia asked NATO for assistance in this whole matter several times during the course of everything and it resulted in no decision. So what did Russia do? They fought back, like they should have. Now weather that's the reason behind this whole incident I don't know, but I have no doubt that there is an underlying reason for everything.

So why not roll some tanks in there and mess up their faces before the rest of the world can do anything about it?

Russia is becoming again, a country to be feared. I see this act of aggression and threatening of leaving NATO is them just flexing their mussels. Recently in the news Tbilisi recalled most of its embassy staff from Moscow. Things don't really look that great in that area of the world right now, but I think they will settle down a bit.

Russia has already claimed that if sanctions were put onto them that they would retaliate against the EU. That is a HUGE step on their part if it really comes down to that. As of right now it does not look like the G7 will choose to place sanctions on them, but things may change, as Russia isn't exactly thought of as highly as I think they are.

It is difficult to see what the Kremlin are truly trying to do, and I don't think we will ever be able to know the hidden truths behind this. One thing to take into consideration is that, since they are in Georgia now, they have complete control over oil pipelines that run through that country.

There recently was a poll over in Europe for some select countries saying that show that people have more trust in xenophobic(hatred of foreigners; maybe I shouldn't use big words), authoritarian Russia than they do in the world’s most powerful country.

In the Cold War, doing business with the Soviet Union was a rare and suspicious activity. Now Russia has gotten into our markets and businesses to a huge degree. Energy companies such as Austria’s OMV, Germany’s E.ON and Italy’s ENI work hand-in-glove with outfits such as Gazprom, which is nominally Russia’s biggest company, but better described as the gas division of Kremlin, Inc.

This directly affects politics. Germany, with Russia, is building the Nord Stream gas pipeline along the Baltic seabed to bypass Poland. Russia has already cut off energy supplies to punish Lithuania, the Czech Republic and other countries. When Nord Stream is built, it will be able to do the same to Poland.

Guerrilla warfare would not come to option in a situation of Russia invading us. Maybe a small option if any. A war between us and Russia would be over before it even started. With the amount of WMD's that both countries possess the war would end tragically and quickly. The U.S. primary targets at the beginning of a war with Russia would be their nuclear facilities. This may cause Russia to scramble to get those warheads out of their chambers faster, and end the war before we know it. If neither of these happen, more than likely Russia would make the first nuclear move, and there would be very little the U.S. would be able to do except for do the same against them.

I have sooo much more to say but I'm sure half of you want read this or just won't care

In before wall of text, tl;dr, etc, etc.

or russia att georgia area?

The current Georgian president has long declared his intent to take back South Osettia, and made a move on it which in turn caused Russia to retaliate.

And I continue...I was sitting at my desk today at work; in and out of a daydream, after my previous post, when I started to think of things in my head. The first thing was a country: which happened to be azerbaijan, second was a number: 999,999, third was a president: President Halim, forth was a color: blue, fifth was another number: 500, and lastly I drew a quick sketch. Well I did a little research and these were the errie facts I came up with: Again I came up with all of these answers out of my head for no particular reason, also I haven't watched CNN or any news since the conflict between Russia and Georgia started. The breaking news to do with AZerbaijan is all talking about the fact that a big oil company has had to shut down work on its pipeline that is set to go from Azerbaijan through Georgia and all the way to Europe. The news speculates that the conflict between Russia and Georgia is to show that no oil will go through Russian Territories unless the Russian Pres. says so.
Next I typed in Azerbaijan 999999 which came up with an address to one of the biggest hotels in Azerbaijan.
Then I researched President Halim which I have never heard of and come to find out he was the president of Chechnya and a Muslim Extremist Sympathizer who was killed in a gun battle June, 17 2006 by Russian soldiers.
So then I decided to look up the number 500 in relation to Azerbaijan. Happens out that 500 international representatives will be in Azerbaijan to make sure their elections are not cheated.
I do not know the significance of the drawing I made or the color blue but time will probably shed light on the situation.

Now in a jist this is what I have come up with from the facts I was able to find. I believe there is going to be some sort of conflict with the 500 international reps. and there roll in Azerbaijan's presidency. The address of the hotel which is a large and major hotel in Azerbaijan could quite possibly be where these reps. are going to be housed during their stay. President Halim and his factoring into this I do not quite know yet but I will be doing much more research to find this out.

My take on another theory or situation is simple: The threat of terrorism is failing to keep the population of the US frightened enough to submit to the continued removal of personal liberties by their government.

The solution? Create a new enemy (or rather, resurrect an old one), and increase the fear once again, this time with the tried and true threat of all-out nuclear war, or at the very least, war with another superpower. Which, let's face it, is a pretty scary proposition.

I find it interesting that at the time of the EXACT start of the Russia/Georgia incident, both Bush AND Putin (Putin, we all know, still wields the real power in Russia), were conversing together, joking, laughing, touching gymnasts, and generally having a great old time at the Olympic Games opening ceremony.

Reanimated Enemies? Two great nations at loggerheads?
Codswallop.

To my mind, This is simply a plan between those at the top of the world's ruling elite (political and corporate, US, Russia and others) to give them the necessary powers to continue consolidating land masses, building more concentration camps, taking over ever more territory and control of natural resources, generating incomprehensible amounts of money for their respective Military Industrial Complexes, and especially in the case of the U.S, continuing to remove people's liberties by scaring them into compliance with non-existent boogeymen.

It's appears to me that the mainstream news media are playing along with the instructions given to them by their corporate masters, just as they did joyfully partake in the "we KNOW Saddam has WMD's" lie, propagated shortly following 9/11.

I would expect a nuclear incident in a US city sometime soon. Buildings being hit by planes will not work this time. An extreme flavor of shock & awe will be required to get the populace terrified, and ready and willing to surrender the last shreds of their freedom for "security".

This is all just MOO.. I remain an optimist, I would be happy to be completely wrong about this! I look forward to ingesting other points of view in this matter. So cmon...post my fellow clanmates.

If I have time tomorrow I will write up some more.
