Personally,I think we should try to instal this "anti fastswitch mod" on our public and private servers.Abusing a bug is equal to cheating because it gives you an unfair advantage and one rule of our clan (and mostly in any clan) is playing fair and forbid cheating.

I think I actually had Phobos code a server mod for this.... I was going to use it if warzone didn't open up. It basically timed how fast you switched and checked your scoping timings in attempts to warn other players of people using the sniper configs.

I don't really see a difference except for the fact that it showed how you could shoot faster with the sniper.... Its exactly like pressing reload as you pick up ammo for your sniper.... it lets you shoot right away. Not really against it so much.

Storm already wrote a mutator to completely block fastswitch on the servers, its not going to be used in WarZone matches though because a few people were unhappy about losing their advantage.

I've actually found fastswitch to be fair under certain circumstances. Such as when you're walking around a map and someone pops out of nowhere right on top of you with a blaster and you normally wouldn't be able to pull out your own blaster before being killed or being weakened to low health (if the opposing player has a decent blaster). In that situation either you quick switch, or you die.

I never use it, don't care who uses it but will support its illegalization.

When someone pops out it's not their fault you didn't have your blaster out. You took the risk of running around defenseless.

Btw. the reason why Crimson made this tutorial and why I posted it here is simple. We could remove fastswitch, and that would be the perfect solution im my opinion.

But some people dont want it to be changed (told Vash theyd leave TX then) so he wont put it on the server, and I can even understand him. But these players only want to keep it because they got an advantage. So from nowon, everyone can now how to fastswitch and use it against them as well. To make it fair and even.

If we cant make it fair by fixing the bug that causes fastswitch, we can at least tell people how to use it. Not the best solution, but it works.

Just saying that I've received many complaints even from many non-TX members regarding this. This is not just TX related like some people think.

Well, when you consider 99% of people who use fastswitch own you easily without their eyes in their sockets, I can see why.
