Right now it's a yes that a company called gameranger is now able to support Star Wars Republic Commando. With this, servers and such will now be ran by them in the next month or so.

Unfortunaly Penguin is right...
RepCom is configured to "work" with the GameSpy master server. You cannot configure a new master server unless you download a software which work with it. The few 13 y.o noobs on public servers will not do that.

Actualy as Judge said, you will have to download a software whoch work with it, and only after that you will be able to play.
It's possible for those who are in a team, because they are informed of thid of things, but public noobs who can't even even speak decently the english will not download the software, for sure.

Understand this : the public noobs are 12- 13 years old, so they' re just too stupid to understand such a thing.

Exactly. There is a way to setup a custom master server and make players and servers connect to that one, but its simply pointless because nobody who doesnt know how to play on private servers will do that. And those who know how to play on private servers dont have to do this since we still got our servers running anyway, furthermore those players would never fill a public server. Would be easier to ask Vash to host one DM server and publish the IP for everyone, the match server can be used for CTF/TD/AS as it always has been. Everything else is a total waste of time.

I thought it, but the fact is that 80% of the public players don't know how to open an ip, and even when it has been explained, they still fail.

So only 20% of the public players would be able to join such a server, and since there are not a lot of players who still play RC, there would be like 1 or 2 players a day.

Conclusion -> hosting such a server would be useless and a complete waste of time and money for Vash.

Vash wouldnt lose any money hosting another server, he already got one and can host as many RepCom servers there as he want to.

And yes, I know and even mentioned it in my post: The remaining players will never fill such a server, but it might be useful for a couple of those guys in case they ever want to play DM again, even if its just 1v1.
