question:

whats the difference between

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136337

and

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136284

and I've decided on getting a Quad processor, any thoughts on what model? (they can range from $150-250 so j/w if L2 cache really matters, i mean I read the Tom's Hardware article on it and it seemed iffy on whether it actually is worth the extra money, but the increase from 2.33 to 2.66 GHz is obvious)

No idea what the first hard drive is, it's not even on WD's product list. Get this one.

For processors, you have to decide between i7 and core 2 quad. Or whatever AMD has....

For core 2, DDR2 memory will do. For i7, you need DDR3, which is a bit more expensive. If you don't want to overclock a lot, you won't need to spend much on memory.

Also, I wouldn't use tiger. Newegg has better customer support and return policy and such.

difference between them is, the one is boxed, the other is tray, that means, the more expensive one (boxed) has all screws and what ever you need to build in a HDD

the boxed one has a different model number.... and it says GP. Green Power I think... some energy saving garbage.

Don't get that motherboard... look where the main power connector is. The wires will be in the way of everything.

try this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128358
or this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813128372

I'd go with a caviar black instead of green, unless you really care about noise. It's probably not much of a difference anyway.

More thoughts after I sleep.
