Just posting my new sig which i am currently using, its quite simple but i like it just let me know what you think.

Background and render are not connected somehow, it simply does not blend in. Lightsource is barely making any sense, and render might use some sharpening. Also I am missing the depth in this tag, it looks too flat for my taste. Text is awkward.

The tag is lacking elemental things in my eyes, you should work on them

P.S: If this seems to come across like im taking the piss, im sorry Lion but im not trying to come across like that lol im generally stating that i would probably always take your advice on things like this.

Lion is bs at gfx, don't listen to him. This is a quality piece. Excessive blending would look really weird in a simple piece like this. It does need fixing here and there: the render placement is strange (too much space between head and the top border); the splatter (if that's what it is) is a bit lazily done, you could have spent a bit more time and made it look smoother, with more layers of effects, possibly making it a bit more colourful (space stocks); the render appears oversharpened/oversaturated; the text placement is good but it's far too big .. and so on. But the colour, the flow, the concept are all well executed. I'd count this sig as a success and a big improvement on your previous one.

Well go to any known GFX Board out there and post your tags there aswell, I can't link you to any decent one as mine are closed communities.


The flow is screwed up here, also the text placement is rather bad. Don'rt forget mentioning the chosen colour & font. Also the render is placed in the center, where it belongs.. unless you have a tag which supports it by laying the focus on a specific part of the render:


Making it smoother is literally stating the same thing I did, the render does not blend in well, it's rather sprakling on that background (check his sides) and I have no idea where this light does come from. By bledning the render in, one does generally understand (at least in the GFX communities I attend) this:



The render needs to blend in with the backrgound, especially with such a plain one, mostly people take the smudge-tool for this or do it like we did with our collab Status.

Hardcore bs. More than one kind of sig is acceptable. What Theory has made is completely different in style to what you linked to and therefore comparing with your own work doesn't help at all. I'm not saying yours are bad, only that they're different styles and you're criticising his because they're different from yours. Just because it's not the kind of thing you would make doesn't mean it isn't good.

I'm not saying it was a godlike piece or anything, only that compared to what Theory used earlier, it was a clear and marked improvement. I even agree it needs more blending, but I'm emphasising that the sort of excessive blending a la Lion would look totally out of place in this. He's finding his own style and you're choking it with "it needs moar blending! It should look more like my sigs, here look at mine, do it like this!"
