Yeah my build is a bit different then most other people, but I enjoy the benefits of it. Unlike most other people I usually go hydra as my first item, a junger's item, but it has its benefits for my farm and I can get my sustain. Usually, with my W I can manage a decent lifesteal with just that item alone. From there, it varies sometimes I like to focus health and start building my warmog's or I could go for my cleaver.

Edit: At the moment I will be focusing top lanes and will be switching champs up.

For activity, 2nd game with Jax.

Looked at some guides and completely forgot about trinity. What do you recommend building wise, from what I was trying to do is rush gunblade and rageblade, and then scale off differently with moonflair spell blade, the blue fisty item some type of armor.

I like trinity warmogs route, But the gauntlet and trinity don't stack, Gauntlet looks good on him though. You should try it out and tell me how it works :P.

But I don't play top alot nor do I play jax alot so it would be be better to get info from one of the other top mains hiding around here.

For the entirety of my time playing in top lane, I've always built them in a way that will threaten the back line of the opposing team. You're job as a bruiser is to throw off the enemy team by creating a point in a teamfight where their team has to decide if they want to protect their carries, or allow them to fend for themselves. If you're playing a high damage champion like Jax, your main goal in each and every teamfight is to cause panic in the back line. Jump to the carries, and pound away at them. This gives your back line the opportunity needed to force the advantage in your favor.

This being said, good builds consist of what is needed for a fight. Damage is very high on that list, and good items for Jax in that category are TriForce, Gunblade, and Rageblade, because of their different effects and bonuses. This gives you strong presence, survivability (because of your ultimate and the lifesteal and spellvamp), and damage. Most bruisers do best with GA, but this isn't entirely needed. It just gives you more defense, and a 5 minute passive revive that can be very strong if used correctly. The rest is completely situational, as each came calls for a different approach.

I'm an AD Carry, so this may not be completely accurate, but it has always worked for me. Good luck, and hope this helped you out.

Whenever i play top i usually rush mogs or sunfire regardless of the character. Health is the cheapest stat in the game, so try to buy a giants belt first even if u don't upgrade it then. On jax i usually go Sunfire if its a ad top, or mogs if its a tank or ap. Then i go Super triforce if im ahead. Super Triforce=Iceborn Gauntlet-Frozen Mallet-Phantom Dancer. Then i go Guinsoos, and then build on the situation. You end up having like 3k health and immense amount of damage. You are basically unkillable
