How many of you fruits snowboard? Or ski, pussy.

I lived in Alberta Canada for 16 years and never snowboarded. Ive now lived in Vancouver BC for 4 years and I finally went snowboarding for the first time. The environment in BC is too amazing for you to not do thinks like snowboading. Only in Vancouver could you go Snowboading on the same day as you golf, and its awesome. Its something I always wanted to do as a kid but could never afford it.

I have the money now and people to go with that don't mind showing me the ropes. I absolutely loved every minute of it. Even the couple faceplants onto the tightly packed snow. I'm sure I have concussed myself, sprained my wrist and bruised up my legs pretty bad, but it was well worth it. Unfortunately I only know how to plow down the mountain on my heel side but I plan on buying a board and some bindings in the coming weeks and ill learn toe side and start riding properly.

The mountains are awesome here.

I used to be pretty good at snow boarding, but I haven't had any time or that many friends that can keep up, so it's been a year since. It's addicting, but any fun in the snow is fucking exhausting.

I'm ready to go again tomorrow!

I wasn't that exhausted and we stayed for almost 8 hours. The most exhausting part as a beginner is when you can't pick up enough speed for some of the hills and have to climb up them.

As a Swiss, it is obligation to do a winter sport! 8)

I used to skii also, we always went for one week with the school skiing. It was awesome and cheap!

But since I work now, I don't have the money and time for it. :S
It's very expensive in Switzerland >_<"

I live in Vermont, USA. Lots of mountains, ski resorts. I personally prefer skiing over snowboarding, I feel more in control. I can do both though. I play soccer, basketball, baseball, and golf, and I can easily say skiing is my favorite sport. ITS JUST SO FUCKING EXPENSIVE

Living in and being from Florida, I don't get to snowboard too often, but I've become pretty good at it. I go to Tahoe every now and then to see relatives and the mountains there are pretty great.

I've found that surfing here, and snowboarding there are much the same. So I guess I stay in practice for whenever I go back to Tahoe. It's a great experience though, nothing like it.

I’m dying to go again. Just moved out west and am pretty close to Mt. Baker and Vancouver, so hoping to take advantage of that more once I’m back home. Crazy expensive but worth it. Much better than going on landfills in the Midwest…

Thats awesome. If you can make the trip up to Whistler you should definitely do that. Whistler is like no other.

Also, everyone always said you are gonna be so sore the next day but I'm actually feeling quite fine. My arms are hurting a little bit but other then that, no pain. I'm ready to go again tomorrow. I'm addicted.
