It doesn't. Public games are "competitive". The rules are written the way they are because we don't want to disallow hacks or mod completely: if you're in private with a few friends and everyone realises that it's just for fun, there's no real problem. The same goes for noob weps.

It does seems a little odd to withhold your name if you reckon few people are capable of remembering you. Furthermore, I think you'd be demonstrating more growth and maturity taking accountability for your identity, even if it does show you in a slightly negative light.

That aside, your answers give the impression of experience (particularly strategy) and that's a really impressive record too, so I'm sure you won't need the good luck I'm wishing you.

@Clone: I have nothing to hide regarding negatives. I used to be part of the council for RC and at one point was the most dominant player in the game according to Elliptical Realms.

I feel like I'm starting to be harassed about this whole name thing and its really starting to detract from the appeal I saw in joining RC. I would really appreciate being treated as a new player and any other applicant RC has.

If you would have wanted a treatment like a new player, why did you come out with this 'I used to play in BW'- thingy?

I have not been in RedCell, back in those times I have been a part of TX Gaming. Also let me tell you that the past of a player actively forms his presence and future, RedCell is known for giving people with a negative history a fair and good chance, unless they messed totally up. Therefore I always judge an applicant the way he used to be, he is now and how he might develope in future. That is why I desire your name, this is my last appeal on this before I Novote.

As a Recruiter I am supposed to protect RedCell from people that might harm it, whether it is their behaviour or whatelse. As you refuse to tell us who you used to be I get to believe that you have something to hide, things that are positive do not need to be hidden, therefore I guess it must be negative and therefore I will not give you any chance joining tis community and probably harm it somehow.

Lion is completely right. You have nothing to lose by telling us and lots to lose by holding it back.

And you are not being "harassed". Voters are outlining the criteria according to which they will vote yes or no. You can adapt and accommodate however you please; we're only letting you know our concerns with your application in case you want to address them. If you don't, that's fine too, but don't be surprised to find no-votes waiting.

@Lionheart: I shared the bactaweek information because I thought it may have helped my chances. I am still not going to give out my name so I accept your Novote if that has to be the consequence. However, I would like for you to consider this: I could have applied here and shared absolutely no information about my past and you and the rest of the recruiters would not have known any of what I have already shared. But, because I am trying to be honest I did not do that with you guys because I didn't want to come across as someone who is shady. I hope you understand that but if a Novote is still the consequence I will accept it.

@Truth: I never said that I wanted to hack/glitch. I was merely questioning the rules because I personally feel that noobing or glitchimg should be tolerated at all but the rules make them seem as if they are okay at times.

But I do have something to lose, my reputation. At one point in time I was indisputably the best player in the game. Both as a TD, CTF, and 1v1 player. I know for a fact that isn't the case anymore seeing as how I haven't played in 5 years. After you've built such a reputation why would I start playing again and ruin something that was so great? Surely you, or no one else for that matter, would do that and that's my reasoning behind the name change.

You can't just leave out the only 2 sections of the application I read, it doesn't work that way. Even if you didn't share the BW info, you still wouldn't be accepted because you are a prime example of an alias. Which right now, I'm believing you are.

An alias typically is used in reference to multiclanning, which if that is what you meant in your statement, you are mistaken. I went back and answered the questions of the application that I had left out. If I'm still missing something please let me know.

I do remember some of the old US players, that used to be called outstanding, the information you gave us matches to none of them.

With two no-votes already, I'll give you the ultimatum between coming clean about who you were, or getting a third no-vote. Frankly, though, I think you'll be stuck taking the no-vote, considering you've probably just made all this up. There are very few people who could have been on the RC council and acknowledged as the very best in 1v1, TDM, CTF, and yet remain unknown to me and to the wider community.

I'm bummed out, I am. And you're wrong. Your veteran's list and your warlord's list are full of those players. However, you didn't play with the majority of those guys.

The only person who can vouch for what I'm saying would be Nokill. Back when he actually played in the era of Nerfherder, Weapon, Tongo, Cleric Ashley, Cleric Sam, Bprendy, Slicer, Plasma, Fish, Weapon, Maelstrom, Andy, Chaos, and Splinter.

Unfortunately though, you guys may not know a single one of the names that I just mentioned. But I promise you that they helped make this game what it is today.
